May 9th, 2012- MIssionary Report for
April- August 2012

“For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription,
'TO THE UNKNOWN GOD'.
Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.”Acts 17:23

Dear Brethren in Christ, Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

It is time to update the work of our Lord Jesus Christ,
in Salta, Argentina.

I was born in Argentina and I knew my own country, but I never realized how much the people worshipped idols, “They bear Him upon the shoulder, they carry Him, and set Him in his place, and he standeth; from his place shall he not remove: Yea, one small cry unto him, yet can he not answer, nor save him out of his trouble”. Isaiah 46:7

  • Salta is surrounded by rolling hills and the further you travel out of the capital city, to the country areas, the more idolatrous the people are.
  • We hear a lot of abusive language as we give out tracts and some confront us, that’s when I get a chance to talk and explain to them the true Gospel and then we receive more of the same on our mobile phone.
  • We don’t mind all this, because we know that the tracts are being read. However it saddens us to see these people living in such darkness, it seems to us that in every hill there is a “virgin” (idol) where they worship.

Comparing the work to Paraguay, the work in Argentina is much harder.

But our desire is to tell the people about our Saviour.

  • We get to know the people and their way of life as we walk and hand out thousands of tracts on a weekly basis.
  • Now, our next aim is visiting house to house, giving out more tracts and talking to the people, if they allow us. I find this works better.
  • I realize the material we give out is very strong e.g.: "Are Roman Catholics Christians?", "The bread of Death" and "The Last Rites".
  • As I hand each tract to the person, I ask if they are Roman Catholic. The response of 99% is “yes”.
  • So I explain to them about the material, to read it carefully and not feel angry, think over it and I tell them that if they have any more questions they are welcome to call me. It actually works better this way.

We hope the government will not stop us in the future; any Christian literature has to come through Paraguay into Argentina. Customs will never allow us to have something that is not straight Catholic material.

We thank God for the opportunity, that as from Saturday 12th of May 2012, the "Radio America" from Asunción, Paraguay will start broadcasting 24hrs every day.

  • In Natalio, Paraguay Radio America was a great instrument of God, many people listening, calling the number given over the air,
  • coming to church, then believing in our Saviour, and joining the church.
  • The Natalio church increased by 70%. It’s a great joy to see people come to church and know our Saviour.

A young man, Oscar Flores, a university student, accepted Christ a few months ago and I have almost completed the discipleship book with him.

  • His father also accepted Christ a few weeks ago, and we are still working on his sister, and her boyfriend.
  • The mother is saved. Oscar’s girlfriend is also unsaved and he told me today that according to what I was teaching him, unless she accepts Christ, they can’t continue in their relationship. Please pray for her salvation.

We also have found a place to hold services and we will know in a couple of weeks if that will be available for us. Please pray for that too.

Please pray for traveling mercies.

  • 2. People who are saved.

  • 5. Elizabeth’s health as she travels back to Australia for check-ups.

7th March - First Missionary Report for
Months of January, February and March, 2012

Dear brethren in Christ,
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Proverbs 11:30 - The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life;
and he that winneth souls is wise.

Click Meeting with New Believers in Paraguay

It is almost a month since we returned from Australia to Argentina.

We thank God for His protection during the flight to and from Australia and then the 20 hour trip by bus.

  • During our first few weeks in Salta, with God’s help, we found a house.
  • Thank you for praying for this matter.
  • We then went to Paraguay, also by bus, to bring our goods from there to Argentina.
  • It was not an easy job as the customs in the Argentinian side are very strict in regards to what we own,
  • 99% of our belongings are used items, therefore it involved a lot of paper work and it took me a week going from one office to another to get the approval we needed.

During our time in Paraguay we did a lot of visitations especially to new believers that came to Christ by listening to the radio.

Last Sunday was our final Sunday service in Paraguay.

One hundred people were in attendance and we praise God for the great increase in the church because of the radio station.

  • Most of these families are from a rural area, and the radio was the only way through which they heard the gospel for the first time, and after they contacted us, the bus was sent to bring them to church.
  • We thank the churches who helped us get the bus.
  • We thank the Lord for what He is doing in Paraguay and also ask Him to help us in Argentina now.

We would also like to thank the churches and individuals, who, during our time in Australia - helped with funds for the radio station in Natalio Itapu Paraguay, and also for their hospitality provided over our time at home.

Isaiah 55:10-11“For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returned not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”

God bless,

Verse of the Day

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
