Prayer Letter DEC 2007- Sent Janiuary 24th, 2008

Pastor Kendy K. Lamai- KIUNGA INDEPENDENT BAPTIST CHURCH.

Dear Pastor and Nepean Baptist Church,

Hello and a very merry Christmas and a happy prosperous New Year of the good Lord to you all.

Rom 1:7-8 “To all that be in Nepean, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

  • First, I thank our God though Jesus Christ for you all have been faithful in the ministry in PNG especially in Kiung, for the past seven years (2001-2007).
  • Thank you, Nepean Baptist Church, Pastor and Family for all the prayers and support.
  • The ministry is growing and many doors have been opened and also a lot of opposition too.
  • We are throwing out the precious seed every time and trusting that God will make it grow.Isa. 55:10-11
  • Let us pray together that the Lord may use us to lead many souls to be saved for His glory.

Projects to pray for and needs for the ministry:

  • Pastor’s house is incomplete. Pray to be completed next year 2008.
  • Church bus: The Church really needs a bus to pick people up and drop off for services. We are praying and raising a love offering for the bus. Trusting God to help us to buy a bus next year 2008
  • Land appeal: We have applied for three more blocks of land but the Land Board did not approve it. We did appeal against the decision and are praying and waiting for their decision. Pray that the decision will be in favour of the Church for His glory.
  • The new doors opened 40km & 70km we need transport to go in those places and even more so please pray.

Finally, on behalf of the Church and my family I thank God for Pastor David Hill and the Nepean Baptist Church for their continued prayers and support. If Christ tarries we will work together as a team in the years to come. With that we will see you all in the rapture.

Your fellow brother in Christ,

Pastor Kendy K Lamai

August 2006 Prayer Letter

Dear Pastor DAVID HILL,

And the Church of God at Nepean Baptist

Hello and greeting in Jesus name.

I take this time to thank God for the Nepean Baptist Church for all the prayers and support in the Ministry in Kiunga.

On the 19th to 23rd July Kiunga Ind. Bap. Church had a revival meeting.

Pastor Paul Similolo from Victory Baptist Church Lae was our speaker.

In that meeting God did great things 18 souls saved.

Many Christians revived, 14 Christians were baptized and added to the Church.

One of the convert whose name was Br Roy Kondex gave his generator to the Church.

Now we are having evening services.

  • We thank God for everything He had done in that meeting.

The projects for Prayer:

  • Kiunga is praying for a church bus. We need transport to pick the Christians and the souls. Pray for the need.
  • The Church have already set a foundation for the Pastor's house. 19 Iron posts already planted. If it be the Lord's will, we are praying for completion of the building.
Tabubil Ind. Baptist Church is helping us in building.
  • God opened new door at Ningirum Station 70 km. form Kiunga. We have been visiting Ningirum Prison Camp every month on Saturdays. We need your prayer please.
  • The Church have already applied for three more blocks which the Lands Department have put up for Tenders. We are waiting for the result of the Lands Board decision.

With that we thank God for your prayers. God is increasing the ministry every time.

Bye Bye and we see you all in the rapture,

Yours in Christ,

Pastor Kendy K Lamai

Verse of the Day

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
James 3:17-18
